Browns at Broadbeach Policies

Agreement to Terms and Conditions

The Browns at Broadbeach motel website is conditional upon the guest agreeing to all terms and conditions set out below.

The terms and conditions for the agents of Browns at Broadbeach are to be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions set out below.


Reservations can be made directly with the motel.

All care must be taken to ensure that the information provided to the motel is correct. Only persons over 18 years of age can make a booking.

When making a reservation with Browns at Broadbeach, the following details are required:


·        name and company (if applicable);

·        address, email, phone or fax number; and

·        credit card number, expiry date and card holder’s name.

Once this information is supplied, the motel will contact you by email or some other means, confirming your reservation based on availability of units and for the authentication of your credit card.

Your reservation will not be finalised and may be rejected if the information required is not supplied.

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you when your reservation is confirmed. A valid email address must be provided when booking through the booking enquiry form.

The managers are at the discretion to refuse entry of any guest and reject bookings.


All rates quoted on our website relate only to Browns at Broadbeach non-peak seasons.

Rates are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of Goods and Services tax (GST), charges and surcharges and are subject to change at any time without notice.

Three nightly and weekly packages are subject to availability. Discounts cards cannot be used in conjunction with the prices quoted for package deals.

Rates may change without notice due to charges incurred by inflation or other government imposition charges, taxes or levies.

Verbal quoted rates are estimates only and subject to change until written reservation confirmation is provided. in respect to specified rooms and number of guests.


To confirm booking arrangements, the minimum deposit must be paid immediately, or if paying with money order or by person in cash, must be within 7 days from the date of the booking only if the date of arrival is after 7 days of booking, otherwise must be paid immediately or the booking is not confirmed. The minimum deposit required is:

  • 1 to 2 nights stay = $50.00
  • 3 to 6 nights stay = 1 nights taking.
  • 7 to 13 nights stay = 3 nights taking.
  • 14 nights or more = 7 nights taking.

If the deposit is not paid by the due date, the managers at the motel reserve the right to cancel the booking.

Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, American Express, Diners and JCB – please note that the use of American Express, Diners and/or JCB incur a 5% surcharge), money order or cheque.

Cheques and/or Money Order are to be made payable to ‘Browns at Broadbeach’ and posted to 2591 Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach Qld 4218.


Notice of cancellation must be made to the motel directly.

Notice of cancellation must be made by no later than 10:00am, 24 hours prior to the reserved date of arrival. For bookings made one month or more in advance, notice of cancellation must be 7 days prior to the reserved date of arrival.

Cancellations after the due date incur a cancellation fee of $20.00 and loss of the minimum deposit.

Failure to arrive on the reserved booking date and cancellations after check-in, no refund will apply.

Cancellations after check-in for guests staying two nights or more, guests are required to notify the managers of their cancellation for the remaining of the reserved stay by 10:00am, 24 hours prior to the departure date.


Full payment must be made at the time of check-in.

Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, American Express, Diners and JCB – please note that the use of American Express, Diners and/or JCB

attracts a 5% surcharge) and traveler’s cheque.


On arrival, guests are required to complete and are bound to the terms of the Browns at Broadbeach register form.

Guests under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years of age.

Check-in is between 1:00pm – 9:00pm. Check-out is by 10:00am at the latest.

Guests are to notify the managers if their arrival and/or departure time is outside the listed hours.

Security Deposit and Photo Identification

Guests are required to provide a credit card imprint on arrival for incidental charges. Where a credit card is not available a $200.00 cash bond will be required. The length of the guests' stay may vary the amount of cash deposit required.

Valid photo identification must be presented at the time of check-in.

House Rules

Smoking and pets are prohibited in all units at Browns at Broadbeach.

Guests and invitees of the guests are expected to behave in a manner conductive to the safety, comfort and convenience of the guests within the property.

A breach of the House Rules may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the Manager.

A breach of House Rules includes:

  • Noisy, offensive and/or unruly behaviour;
  • Damage to or destruction of property;
  • Improper or unseemly conduct;
  • Any act or omission which, in the opinion of the Manager adversely affects or brings discredit upon the Manager, owner or the guests.

It is also a condition of your occupation that the owners/management of the premises are not liable for any omission, defaults or neglect for accidents or injuries to occupiers or guests visiting and damages to or loss of any property which the occupier or their guests bring on to the premises apart from any liability under the Travelers Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001.


It is vital that guests report to the managers as soon as possible (including after hours if necessary) of any incident occurring in the units or on the premises in order to ensure that the issue is resolved immediately and effectively. Please do not try to resolve the matters of other guests on your own accord.

Issues which could not be resolved during your stay, a written and signed complaint must be submitted to the motel within 5 working days from the departure date.

Disclosure and Information Sharing

The motel will only disclose your personal information, unless we have your permission to expose your personal information, where we are abided by law to do so, we are request by you to carry out the necessary services; we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to an individual’s life, health or safety or a serious threat to public health or safety; and or suspect that unlawful act is or has been made and this information is necessary for any part of investigation in the matter including us reporting our concerns to the relevant authorities.

Otherwise in order to protect your personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorized access and or modification, we apply standard industry safety procedures for confidentiality. If there are any outstanding charges to the motel which has not been paid then the personal information is kept in our records until full payments are made. Once all accounts are clear between the customer and our motel, we then further no longer need your personal information and if you request us to discard your personal information we will destroy all your personal information from our system.
